Dear Therapist: Social Work PEMDAS

Like in math, there has been a therapeutic order of operations: A) Build Rapport, B) Address Goals, C) Address what therapy looks like after they complete their goals - and rinse and repeat... This is most definitely a simplified version of:  1. Join → 2. Understand → 3. Map → 4. Intervene → 5. Repair → 6. Integrate → 7. End

Maybe someone can tell me what label that process was called in our higher ed. programs! That "C" step is the rupture we all like to push for, just don't forget that "A" is constant.
